What is the difference between creating a “Normal Slideshow” and “Slideshow from Library”?
When creating a normal slideshow, you can select single files and folders from across all your drives to add to your slideshow. The files will be copied to the application folder. With this type of slideshow, you will be able to:
• Assign individual titles and subtitles to your slides
• Assign individual frames for each slide
• Change the font color for each slide individually
• Save the finished slideshow to an external drive
We recommend to use this type of slideshow for smaller slideshows with not so many pictures, because it will require extra space on your internal memory.
Creating a Slideshow from Library is a great new feature in version 1.1.0.8 of Photoframe Pro. You can create slideshows from a selected folder in your library or even the whole library. The files will remain exactly where they are. Nothing will be copied and no extra space on your internal memory is required! Your library folders can be even on an external drive. You can add any image folder to your Pictures Library directly from within the app. The Best: whenever you add more images to your Library Folder, the slideshow will be updated automatically. You can also take photographs directly from within the app and the pictures will show in the slideshow and will be saved to your Library Folder. With this type of slideshow, you will be able to:
• Assign individual titles and subtitles to your slides
• Show Image Tags on your slide images
• Assign a frame to your images
• Change the font color for titles and subtitles for all slides.
Slideshows created from Libraries are great in handling large amounts of pictures without compromising performance.
What happens when I tap “Add Folder to Library” in the Library Slideshow dialogue?
Your Folder will be added “virtually” to the Pictures Library. That means that the folder and its content will remain where they are. Nothing will be moved. The added folder can even be on an external drive. The Folder you add will be visible in your Windows Photo App and any other app which you have granted access to your Pictures Library.
What happens when I tap “Remove Folder from Library” in the Library Slideshow dialogue?
Your Folder will be removed from the Pictures Library. It will not be shown anymore in your Windows Photo App or any other app which can access your Pictures Library. The Folder and Files themselves will not be deleted.
I have added a folder with a lot of pictures to the library but only a few are shown in the image preview. Why?
This is quite normal. It takes some time until all images are loaded. However, you don’t need to wait! You can go ahead with assigning titles, subtitles and frames. You can even play your slideshow before all images are loaded!
I have assigned titles for a library slideshow but the titles are not shown in the image preview.
The image preview will be updated automatically. Then all your new titles will be shown. Depending on the amount of images this may take some time. But don’t worry! Your titles are there!
